If AI can take over our daily lives, it’s not going to be long until it’s running the world. AI has a grasp on people of all ages, but is no one seeing how it’s consuming every day life?
It’s so easy to ask AI to help with school, work, or even a basic google search, but do people know what it takes for it to generate an answer that brings us instant gratification? AI uses significantly more energy to generate an answer compared to a google search; this is actively effecting our green house gases and climate change. Not only is it having an impact on our climate, but also taking over our lives. All AI is going to do is keep evolving. It might be a while before it takes over the world, but at this rate its bound to happen. Why hire a lawyer when you could just ask AI? Why buy a book when AI can write one? If you don’t care about the effects AI has on the environment, then you should care that your job may be at potential risk. AI has become our automatic response to everything. A basic question? Ask AI. Need help with school or work? Ask AI. Want to generate a video or picture? Ask AI. AI has become our safety tool. People use it for everything, and it’s hard not to. It’s so helpful when you need help with work. Why become an artist when AI can make anything you imagine? AI is quite literally everywhere. It’s used in majority of popular platforms. You can’t avoid it. Google, Quizlet, Canva, Vogue, Spotify, and so much more.
AI has become a teacher, helper, and even a friend. Why would anyone want to stop using it, it’s perfect on paper. Being aware of the effects of AI means nothing if you aren’t doing anything about it. Make a difference, do your part.
